Meet The Doctor
Sandeep Gaonkar completed his medical degree at JN Medical College, Belgaum, India. He completed his residency from Rosalind Franklin University in 1999 with academic honors. He is board certified by American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. Certified in ECT (Electro-convulsive Therapy) and TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation)
Sandeep has held the Chairman position of the Department of Psychiatry at Amita Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL and is currently the medical director at Gateway Foundation for drug rehab in Aurora, IL, Consulting psychiatrist at Banyan Treatment Center in Naperville, IL, Psychiatric Director of the Kendall County Health Department in Yorkville, IL, and Riverwalk Counseling Center in Naperville, IL. He is also currently involved in clinical research for new drugs at AMR Conventions Research.
He founded Conventions Psychiatry & Counseling in 2003 and currently the CEO of the practice. He specializes in adult psychiatry with extensive experience in treating child adolescents and the geriatric population.
In his free time, he spends time with family and friends and also enjoys playing tennis.
